What is the Skyline Ridge Declaration of Covenants, Easements and Restrictions?
ANSWER:
It is a legal document that spells out the rights and responsibilities of
people that own property at Skyline Ridge. It is attached to the deed for
every lot at Skyline Ridge. Among other things, it contains the rules and
regulations that apply to the design of your Skyline Ridge home. These
rules and regulations are intended to shape the character of the
community in a way that will 1) allow it to become a safe, quiet
and attractive place to live, and 2) maintain property values.

QUESTION:
What are the main restrictions that apply to my house design?
ANSWER:
All of the conditions spelled out in the Declaration of Covenants, Easements
and Restrictions are important, and you should become familiar will
all of those conditions before you start to design and build your home.
Some of the major points are:
- Your house must have at least 1800 square feet of living area (excluding
porches, decks, breezeways, and garage).
- The exterior finish for your house must be a natural stain or a
subdued color.
- Your house must be built on a continuous foundation — piers and posts are
not allowed except under porches, decks, and breezeways that are not enclosed
for year-round use.
- Filling or altering the grade of your lot is permitted only so far as is required to construct
your house and any ancillary structures.

Do the Skyline Ridge Directors receive any money for the work that they do
for the Skyline Ridge Property Owners' Association?
ANSWER:
No. The members of the Skyline Ridge Board of Directors are volunteers —
they don't receive any compensation for the time and effort that they
contribute to the community.

ANSWER:
While the Skyline Ridge community is getting started, this Web site will serve as a guide to
property owners during the home-design/home-building process
and will also serve as a mechanism for disseminating information about issues
and events that are important to Skyline Ridge.
As the community begins to become populated, the site can also
be used for planning and publicizing social events.

Did the Skyline Ridge Property Owners' Association pay for development of this Web site?
ANSWER: No. The only costs incurred
by the Association in connection with this Web site are an annual fee
of $14.95 for registering the "SkylineRidgeBecket.org" domain name
plus about $6.00 per month for hosting the Web site.
Design, development and maintenance of the site are a volunteer effort.
